My journey with the Tarot – The Emperor

27d58da14e3ab02c02f79b0a80137bd1--marchetti-the-emperorIt’s day 5 of my journey with the Tarot and today I am working with the Emperor. The Emperor is all about discipline, law and order, action and drive, power, courage, inspiration, determination, passion and survival.

The Emperor is definitely giving me some clear messages and guidance today and I have some work to do! I am going to focus on my business with this card today and here is a list of some of the things the Emperor is asking me to do:

  1. Set an ambitious goal or target; dream big, create a clear vision and build a vision of where I want to be. – Although my vision board around work is complete I feel I need to relook at it, add to it and get more specific with where I want to be.

2. Put my plans into action and persevere. – I need to make a new schedule

3. Stand up for myself; don’t let others control or intimidate you – I will look for any areas where I need to stand up for myself more

4. Re-organise my workspace, team or business to improve efficiency and productivity. – I definitely need to do this,  my new room will be finished in a couple of weeks and I will have a new workspace, desk and storage.

5. Focus on logic, reason and left-brain thinking – I am a Pisces, this is a hard one!

6. Find my career niche, the place where your skills are recognised and in demand, and where you can make a difference – Although I have my niche and ideal client there is always more work that can be done.

7. Look at the bigger picture – Will work with my vision board

8. View an obstacle as a challenge rather than a problem – Always!

9. Be authentic and true to yourself rather than trying to fit in with other people’s ideals and expectations – This is something that I am continually working with.

By working with the Emperor today I have gained some clear insight on what I need to focus on.

My journey with the Tarot – The Empress

fb9f235cbb8e0b9b282b80f22b8d6499It’s day 4 on my new journey with the Tarot and today’s card is the Empress. The Empress is very much about self-love and self-care, connecting with nature, fertility, and birth.

Life has been incredibly hectic recently and I definitely need some time to chill! Between constant visitor and the house build, I haven’t really had any time to my self recently. I always recommend my clients have an hour a day to themselves, to do something that will re-energise them, revitalise and relax them and it is definitely time I took my own advice!

The Empress encourages us to connect with nature and mother earth and although it is easy to do that here as we are surrounded by nature making time to do that is now important. When we allow ourselves to truly experience the connections with mother earth, our femininity and those around us we create abundance and radiance in our lives. Connection with others is important for me right now too.

It is also time for me to bring into reality all the ideas I have around the business and to implement them. The Empress brings the energy of fulfillment, success, and abundance.

My journey with the Tarot – The High Priestess

7cdb5bc1ac043c924c723af7bd189491 (1)It is day 3 of my journey with the Tarot and today’s card is the High Priestess. She is all about knowledge, wisdom, spiritual enlightenment and feminine energy.

As I gaze at this card I am drawn to the hidden knowledge that has yet to surface. I am asking her to shed light on all that am I not yet aware of. This information will come to me through my intuition, daydreams, dreams or de-ja-vu and it is important that I pay attention to my own inner voice. I know I would benefit greatly right now by spending time in silence or meditation and to listen to get the answers I seek. I know that I need to take the time to re-connect to my higher-self as this is also a time of learning and inner knowledge.

It is time for me to seek out my own truth. To put logic and intellect to one side. The answer I need will be felt, rather than seen.

There is a lot of potential for growth and creativity around me but they need refining and a clear plan of action is needed.

She will bring forward the things I need to deal with in business like paperwork, people to help me, the things that I need will just start to show up for me and she will show me the way forward.

Now is the time to go within, listen and take action.

My journey with the Tarot – The Magician

the_magicianIt is day two of my journey with the Tarot and today’s card is the magician. He is all about power, will, confidence, communication and manifestation.

It is time for me to take control of my destiny and to take more action with the things that I really want. When I put my mind to it I can manifest the things I truly desire like my soulmate and my dream house but I have been reluctant to get really specific in my business. I want to offer all my expertise to as many clients as I can but I know I need to streamline and focus on just a few things and take action on these things.

It is time for me to transform myself and my business, to get specific and to get focused. I know I need to have a clearer far-reaching vision, to communicate my vision clearly and to think more about the bigger picture.

With the powers of the universe on my side, I can not only empower myself but others too. The magician brings me the power to stay aligned with my truth and to lead by example.

I have the power, focus, tools, skills and resources to create success in everything I do and by using a can-do attitude and taking action I will achieve success.

The power of success lays in my hands, or rather my thoughts as it is our thoughts that create our reality.

It is a great time for me to make changes and act on opportunities as they arise. By focusing on the task at hand and eliminating distractions I can connect to the creative powers that surround me.

Now is the time to make a real commitment to what is most important to me!

My journey with the Tarot – The Fool

legacy-divine-07345And so my journey begins. A whole new exciting energy is surrounding me as I go deep into this journey. I know where I want it to lead me but the uncertainty excites me as I dig deep into what the fool wants to tell me.

It is a new cycle, a rebirth, I am free to go wherever this journey takes me. The journey is full of pure potential, freedom and light. The excitement of not knowing what will happen as I take a leap of faith into the unknown and uncharted territories.

An adventure lies before me and I know this journey will be full of opportunities, new experiences and personal growth.  I am free to take any of them. My will and determination for change are hightened, it is time to step out from behind the mask and be true and authentic as I take my first, exciting steps forward in anticipation of what this journey will bring.

Each day will bring me a new adventure and anything can happen! I will live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment. The journey may be unpredictable at times but I am free, innovative, impulsive and original.

The sands of time are on my side, however, it is time to move forward, to take that leap of faith and not waste another moment. It is time to accomplish new goals and desires (at least start to work towards them).

My instincts will guide me on this journey of self-discovery, self-development and optimism.

I trust and believe in my self and the journey the universe is taking me on.

A New Journey With Tarot

I have been drawn to go on a whole new journey with Tarot and to document it to help others. My aim with this journey is to go really deep into the Tarot and myself, to learn and grow even more and to give my readings far more depth than ever before. But first and foremost this journey is about me!

tarot_cards_from_persona_3_4_golden__gmod_sfm_dl__by_elliot151-d7naay1

I have been using Tarot for over 10 years and have been a professional reader for about 10 years. I started my professional career with Tarot with Psychic Today and since then I have honed my skills, refocused my area of expertise and read for hundreds and hundreds of people.

I want my readings to give so much more than predictions and in the last year, I have combined my coaching skills with my readings to give clarity and guidance to my clients but also a clear action plan of what they can do next to give them the success they crave.

This is where my talent lies and my feedback has been excellent especially for my Soul Client Readings and my Business breakthrough Sessions. But I want to offer my clients even more so it is time for me to take a whole new journey, to document and to teach what I am learning along the way.

So a new journey begins today!

How I used my Tarot cards to identify and understand my soul client

I have been using Tarot and Oracle cards in my business for a good few years and have been teaching Tarot both privately and through my online course.

As I expand my business I am changing the kind of clients I want to work with. So today I thought I would do a Soul Client reading for myself and here are my results:

What kind of person is she?

6w She believes in who she is and the work she is doing. She is focused on building her personal brand and reputation. She is successful and has gained some public recognition and possibly rewards for the work she has already done and is looking to build on that success and up-level her business. She has harnessed her strengths and talents in order to gain success and is able to focus on the task at hand. She is focused and driven when she has a clear plan.

What is she looking for?

1cupsShe is looking for a deeper connection with herself and others. She wants to express herself more authentically and creatively. She has been through various traumas in her life and she is now ready to learn from the lessons, grow and forgive to enable her to re-align with her authenticity.

She is looking to connect with her soul clients on a deeper level and is ready to let go of unfulfilling clients without fear of guilt.

What makes her happy?

9pShe enjoys the fruits of her labour, success, money, freedom, leisure time and comfort and she is willing to work hard for them.

She likes to reward and pamper herself and enjoys life’s luxuries.

What does she really want?

sun

Success, radiance and abundance. She want to work with passion, happiness, joy and ease. She is looking to grow her business both in terms of money and success.

She wants to build sound business practices and wants to use universal forces to help her so is open to using mindset practices, law of attraction and her intuition.

What is she afraid of?

failure-card-wanda-virgoShe is afraid to fail and loose credibility. She is afraid that if she changes the kind of clients she wants to work with and lets go of the clients that no longer nourish her soul that she could fail.

She has a tendency to negatively invest in the outcome of her new projects, bringing her blockages to deal with.

She needs to let go of the outcomes and learn that failure is just an opportunity to learn and grow.

What is standing in her way

towerHer own insecurities stand in her way. Something has shaken her foundations and this is making her question her core beliefs, values, perceptions, behaviours and how she is showing up in the world.

She is going through an awakening and is starting to realise that she needs to get out of her own way, stand in her own power, be who she truly is in order for her to gain the freedom and success she is looking for.

What keeps her up at night?

kwShe is impatient and impulsive, when she gets a new idea or starts a new project she wants to act on it immediately. She wants her business to be a success but is in a rush to get there, and does not always have a clear plan of action.

She is having her own internal battles with her intuition and ego. She is intuitive but often lets her head take over. Things may look good on paper but if they don’t feel right they are not going to work the way she wants them to.

Overthinking, being impatient, worry, and doubt keep her up at night.

What are her biggest struggles?

2pLife is not in balance, she doesn’t always focus on the things she is passionate about or her priorities. She is juggling life and emotions and sometimes she doesn’t know what to focus on. She struggles to with being clear about what is important to her, her priorities  and where to invest her time and energy.

Time management and financial management are her biggest struggles at this point.

The importance of self discovery

When we journey inwards to discover who we really are, or our authentic self, we will have a better understanding of who we  are. Our values, our natural talents and abilities, our capabilities, our passions, what excites us, empowers us, inspires us and what we truly love.

As we discover who we really are we will:

Improve our relationships because we will care less about what other think of us, you won’t need other peoples approval as you will be more comfortable with yourself. This ultimately removes the wrong people in your life (the critical, negative energies) and draws the right individuals in – those who will love you for who you really are.

Find the right career. Self discovery forces you to look inward and find your natural talents. It will help you harness your unique capabilities – that unique gift you were born with. By acknowledging your mental and physical strengths, you can pursue a career that makes you happy, instead of one that makes you feel as though you are constantly swimming upstream.

Become physically healthier. There’s no question that self awareness makes you mentally healthier, but did you know that it can also impact your physical health? You begin to value yourself more, and a consequence, you eat better, you get out more, and you start to give your body what it truly needs.

Unfortunately, not knowing yourself well can result in a meaningless and unhappiness existence. You have no charge of who You really are. You allow your emotions and decisions to be externally dictated because you have no clear idea about what your inner values, core beliefs and goals are. Instead, you adopt the values, core beliefs and opinions of your friends, colleagues or parents, as your own. You have no clue about what your personal boundaries are.

Self discovery is not an a one-day or a one-week affair. In fact, it can take a lifetime of building a relationship with yourself.

Here are 5 ways you can discover your authentic self:

Identify your core values – ask yourself what your personal values are. Core values will be things like compassion, honesty, love, kindness, loyalty, etc. Clarifying your core values will give you an exact picture of who You are. imagine yourself in a couple of roles and ask yourself what your values are in each case: i.e. as a mother, wife, daughter and entrepreneur. It is important your actions are supported by your core values and fundamentals. If not, you will find yourself in self sabotage and you will find it incredibly difficult to reach your goals.

Who are you – what are your unique qualities? – Make a list of ALL the qualities that make you, you. Who are you? Try to get to around 50 qualities! Include so-called negative qualities. Afraid of heights? Self-judging? Find it difficult to meet new people? Include all of them. Include everything that pops into your head. Have curly hair? Write that down. Love dogs? Write it down. Like organising events or feeling safe? Write it down. When we have this big list of about 50 qualities we need to reduce this down to the most important qualities that are the essence of you, so you will be left with about 10% of your list.

What makes your heart sing? – It is important to look at all the things that bring joy in to our lives so that we can add more of this into our lives. We all live busy lives but allowing our busy lives to take over can have detrimental effects on our energy and our wellbeing. It is important that we make the time to fit the things that bring us joy into our schedule on a daily basis.

Thinking about these things makes you feel blissfully happy and feeling true joy – free and light of all cares and worries. You can’t help but smile and you feel relaxed and at peace with yourself and the world. What makes your heart sing?

Boost your Strengths – find out what your strengths are, Focusing on the things you are good at will build your self confidence. Finding a job/career/life journey that focuses on your strengths (example: if one of your strengths is analysing, become a strategy consultant.  If you enjoy and are good at painting, become a painter.) Improving on your strengths can take you a long way, so pick two or three things you are really good at and see how you can use them in your day to day life, (work, career, family, social etc)

Draw out your gremlins – let go of sabotaging behaviour break free of limiting beliefs and self-judgements. Self sabotaging thoughts and behaviours are perpetuated by an inner critic we all possess. We can identify the self sabotaging thoughts that we have internalised and consciously choose to change them. One way of looking at your Gremlin is to see it as a habitual way of thinking. When we fall victim to our Gremlin and listen to its negative talk, we often engage in self limiting or self sabotaging behaviours that can be destructive to the success of our own lives. Where do you self sabotage yourself, make a list so that you can start to make positive changes.

The Importance of Self Care

What is self-care?

Self-care is the time we give to ourselves each day to look after our mind, body and spirit

Why is self-care important?

It is important to look after ourselves to maintain our well-being, our physical appearance, our health, to nourish our souls and our bodies to ensure we are performing at our optimum at all times. Self-care is important to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself, sometimes called self-love. It produces positive feelings, which improves confidence and self-esteem.

During our self-care time it is also important to add 30 – 60 minutes a day me time where you can switch off and do nothing, take yourself off for a nice walk, a long hot bath, meditation or read a book.

The more time you spend on yourself the more energetic and efficient you will be.

Self-care is important for your family and friends too. They learn from you, so setting boundaries to take care of yourself shows them that they too need to put themselves first and not overextend or overwork. Unhealthy relationships come about when you don’t take time for your needs.

Be Kind to Yourself

As you go through the process of change, be kind to yourself.

Don’t be harsh or overly critical because change can be tough. You are challenging yourself. You’re digging around inside of you; altering how you live, think and fell and that takes courage and care.

Try to welcome change and relax into it. Nurture and love yourself. Be understanding with yourself.

Accept Yourself

Be proud of yourself and your hopes and the action steps you’re taking to be your SELF.

And, if you slip or stumble, get up and start again. Don’t give up or in. You’re a champion. Do your best. Give it all you’ve got.

The following ideas are self-care activities you can fit into a short amount of time.

Inner Self-Care

  • Make a date with yourself. Spend an hour alone doing something that nourishes you (reading, your hobby, walking in nature, visiting a museum or gallery, etc.).
  • Praise yourself when you do something awesome.
  • Read books and watch movies you enjoy.
  • Paint or write something that lets out your creative energy.
  • Unplug.
  • Journal
  • Learn something new, research something you’re interested in.
  • Meditate.
  • Take a class for fun.
  • Take a quick nap. Only 10 to 20 minutes can reduce your sleep debt and leave you ready for action.
  • Learn mindfulness or connect with a spiritual practice that resonates with you.

Outer Self-Care

  • Eat something you enjoy.
  • Have a long bath or shower, sit around in your bathrobe, and read magazines.
  • Do one thing just because it makes you happy
  • Stretch. 5-10 minutes to get out the kinks helps your body and mind.
  • Run or walk for a few minutes. Or go up and down the stairs two at a time, get your heart rate up.
  • Give your body comfort. Pick something from your wardrobe that feels great next to your skin.
  • Use lotion or a product that makes you happy.
  • Spend time with real friends and other people who lift you up.

It’s not about how you should live your life but rather how you want to. Follow your intuition. Listen to yourself. Locate your purpose and passion.

This is your agenda. Your journey as you weigh in and take stock of your life. This is your time.

When you take your first steps to change, the things you want most will come closer to you naturally.

The Benefits of Journaling

Journaling has a multitude of benefits, from empowerment to growth. It’s a daily routine that could change your life, and all it takes is a pen and notebook.

Our daily lives are often packed with things we have to do — work, study, cleaning, family obligations and more. Journalling is about dedicating a few minutes each day to honour yourself, your thoughts and your feelings. It can help remind you who you are, what you want and whether you’re living your life as the kind of person you want to be. It’s also a great chance to practice a spot of gratitude and remind yourself how good your life really is, even when the little things sometimes get you down.

Journals have many purposes. They can be a healing tool or a way to capture your daily routines and the people you’ve encountered. It is a private activity that allows you to express your emotions and vent frustrations. If you are trying to make your way out of confusing life events or simply desire a more balanced life, allow yourself 20 minutes every morning to write out your feelings and intentions for the day. You may also want to keep a journal by your bedside to record your thoughts at the end of the day or any dreams you have.

The most important aspect of journalling is the emotional release—putting into words what’s in your heart. This could be secrets or issues you are reluctant to confront. Allow yourself to set down your thoughts without judging the grammar or quality of the content.

Writing and reviewing journal entries can help you gain perspective and wisdom. You can pour out on paper your self-doubts, pain, and anger, working through those feelings toward a more positive outlook. When you break through the cycle of negative self-talk and explore other approaches to life, personal growth will follow.

Add positivity to your journal by adding affirmations and your gratitude list. Add pictures and drawings, colour in words and paragraphs that are important to you. Make it as personal and as pretty as you want to.
